APRS is an amateur radio digital protocol used to broadcast latitude, longitude, and weather conditions. Data is transmitted every few minutes to an Internet Gateway (IGATE) located on a Qualcomm, Inc. building 3 miles from the Gliderport The data is stored in a database which is retrieved when the weather page is called. The images below show the weather station equipment. The system was designed and developed by Rich Parry.
