Above is the view looking east from the APRS Digi and IGATE located on the top of the seven story Qualcomm, Inc. building in San Diego, CA. The digi is located at latitude 3253.83N and longitude 11711.71W. The antenna is located on the roof at approximately 330' above sea level. The site is well located to support APRS traffic in metropolitan San Diego. It is located 3 miles from the Pacific Coast. The equipment was installed and is maintained by W9IF. The antenna is a simple 2 meter whip with magnetic mount. The TNC is Kantronics KPC-3 Plus with firmware version 8.3. The 2 meter transceiver is an Alinco DR-150. The IGATE is using aprsd running Red Hat Linux.
